About This Poem
Jack's Philosophy
At times our life can be so exciting
But it also can be quite a bore
Today looks like a pretty good day
Tomorrow who knows what's in store
It's always best to prepare for the worst
Then anything else will seem better
It's really a great way to look at things
Each day will become a red letter
Might seem I have a handle on things
It's just that I've lived a long time
Some smarts were surely bound to rub off
But I've never been the genius kind
These words of wisdom I share with you
Are offered freely without strings
To assist my fellow humans get through
This old world to which we all cling
