Winter's Skin
Winter spreads silver skin over lake blood, weaving the shores together in a smooth, crystal scab

And I hope your new job is going well...Don't over-work yourself now. I know what that mental and physical exhaustion feels like for sure. Right around the first of August, I'll start working 7 days a week for 12-36 hours at a time, and won't have a day off until the end of November...if I post during that time, it's likely to be some weird stuff...ha

Hey, I guess I've missed this one...I like it a lot...How did this not make the winner's list? Did you not enter it?...The image is cold and bloody...I'll never look at ice the same way..haha...I'll just be thinking of tearing off that crystal scab..ha...ok that's kinda gross.

wow. Such imagery!!! I am interested why you chose "blood" for the lake? WEre you imagining a red sunset above it?
