About This Poem
A Mirror's Face
A Mirror’s Face
Beyond a mirror’s face
Remains a reflection of a soul’s trace
Into a world of images of the unknown
Or perhaps a world we once have known
A mirror’s face
Show’s a mystery of a particular place
Leaving one to wonder what they see
Perhaps phantoms that are trapped wanting to be set free
Or just a left over residue of their imprints once there
In journeys of their lives once lived reflected in its glare
Reflected in a mirror’s face
Showing residual past images of an old time and place
Still, a mirror holds a mystery
To all that we dream and see
Why does it capture a world left in disquise?
To reflect its existence into our eyes
