Tis trick of thought to dream thee so!
Still nearer mine thoughts I cannot release.
The burden of memories I cannot ease
For loves splendors linger still.
Mine most honest heart tortured under
your immortal delicacy
I am bound and chained with
passionate sorrow; half touching madness
For thou art the dream that fadeth too soon
Still in silent musings I am filled with a
strange sweet hope that someday…. maybe.
