About This Poem
COME WITH ME
COME WITH ME
Come with me, my friend,
Together a better world
To built:
Kinder
Fairer
A more compassionate world
For me
For you
For our children
For all of us!
A difficult task it is
I declare,
An impossible undertaking
The centuries of old may
Assert
But
More centuries ahead wait
To be born,
Innocent centuries
Pure millennia
We must not betray their trust
In us!
Let us, therefore, begin
Building this magnificent world
Of our dreams:
THE LOVING WORLD!
Let us not disappoint
The promising future!
Tell me,
Is there a nobler duty?
A holier undertaking?
A more righteous and sacred
Mission than this?
Is there anything else
More aspired by men
More loved by God?
Come!
Do not linger any longer,
Let us DARE!
You and I, together
Let's start this superb
Enterprise!
We owe it to humanity
Present and future,
Let us lay the foundations of this
Glorious edifice TODAY
Let us alter the history of
Mankind forever
By
Taking the first step
Forward:
Ourselves to CHANGE!
