About This Poem
Foregiveness
The most admirable quality
That humans possess
Is the ability to forgive and forget
Let bygones be bygones
And get on with your life
It's something you'll never regret
If you don't, it will haunt you
Causing pain and anguish
Till you come to terms with the strife
It will eat at your psyche
You'll forever be tortured
The thoughts will cut like a knife
So call up this person
Invite them to lunch
And tell them it's another new day
Let them know you forgive
And still want their friendship
The strength of your bond will prevail
There's other worthy qualities
That humans possess
That form us and define who we are
But none so cleansing
And good for the soul
It's our most admirable quality by far
