“Yearning for a perpetual world peace” by a laity
1. Man and animals collectively are known as creatures:
Overindulgence of sleeping, eating and sex amounts to animals
Where else, Man’s thinking and reasoning make Man’s features
Complexities are Man’s qualities, awesome and phenomenal.
2. Mankind we adore………….
Enlightenment from Manhood, our Buddha attained
After meditating and selfless giving, in many lives uncountable.
Intelligence, intuition and integrity make us Man a ..gain,
Live in community strive for the benefit of society, un-surmountable.
True love endured but pretenders ensured to betray,
Marrying and raising families are intricacies of the day
Only Man can accumulate good deeds, in his afterlife to prevail
Uttering and mastering the Dharma Wheel, as people chanted to pray
Yearning to attain Nirvana, only Man practice and pray
To ensure that our next life will not gone astray
Human beings have passion, whining, crying, and laughing when gay
Sing, dance and play all day, till all hairs turn grey
Foresees death, exploring if his time has come today.
Although Man treat the ills but suicides still in Man’s domain
Inventing fires, cooking meats & feeds and grains,
Landing on Moon several times again and again
It is the virtues of Man with bright brains
Human wisdom is awesome, that’s what is attained.
3. Mankind we deplore………
Cruelties & brutalities Man cultivate, growing the hate,
Honoring and torturing as Monarchs, that won’t abate
Stealing and dealings, that’s always at stake
Drinking, smoking and drugs are Man’s take
Even with poisons, Man used to annihilate.
Deceiving & plotting to apprehend, and imprison by force
Families bitterly contested although some amicable at divorce,
Man wickedly destroying global assets at source.
Rape, incest & murder, sins that are atrociously gross
Men are creatures that do evils the most.
Inventing weapons, becoming deadlier and deadlier,
Including bombs with virus and bacteria,
Armies scarier, arming chemicals and nuclear
ICBMs fired from carriers without barriers
Leaving mankind in tears, setting cosmopolitan fires in sears.
Man wage war on the weak, invade countries as they lead
Sign agreements and treaties between nations to deceive
The losing parties had to retreat, & concede the defeat
The winning armies occupy cities, celebrating with feasts
Holding the seats, divide and rule as they please.
4. Mankind we both adore and deplore………
What we adore is nothing more but Man,
What we deplore is nothing old but Man.
Whether you adore or deplore, nobody cares
As long as it is Man, we should be not despair.
Flourish our world with smiles, not bereaved
Meet and greet all lives that are so fleet
Without jealousy, envy and all the creeds
Work diligently as God’s teachings we all agreed.
To prevent Armageddon, people of all religions pray & plead
It is my deepest wish, to seek for a perpetual and eternal peace.
