the saddest thought -
to have lived for naught

    I've not heard of this form...must look it up. I don't think any of us live for naught, we just need to find a purpose that fufills our life. Enjoyed.

    (cont'd from below) to emphasise the very thing you have referred to: finding your purpose. However, I do think hedonists have lived for naught as, being self-absorbed, they miss the whole purpose of life, which Huxley put so well when he said something along the lines of there is only one worthwhile form of progress and that is progress towards charity and compassion.
