in gran alacant
if only our lips could meet...
hot the rain in spain.

    This is very lovely, Harry...romantic and fun! Is gran alacant a city in Spain? The last line "hot the rain in Spain" ties it together well! Always, Annalise

    I am happy you liked my urban poem, What is "in gran alacant" - I don't understand the phrase. My mother grew up in a small town - my father always loved Brooklyn and I now live on the Lower East Side - which is urban as you can get. I do try to get to the countryside when I can.     kind of celebration of life, for legends who accomplished their mission. In other sense the poem reflect some kind of tradition in africa. You know a kind of ritual. Maybe beyond your knowledge.
