At The King's Feet

On a bright and balmy eve, a certain lady has no more tricks up her sleeve
... no way for her heart to continue to deceive its self and God.
On the edge of a drive that overlooks the cities lights, she cried
out, alone, broken.
Harboring no more ill beliefs about Jesus, herself and others.
Still, she could not help but to reflect on how some friends were
so sugary sweet on the outside; yet so full of lies of which they
may not have known.
Wide open was her heart to ones such as these, but they came
with fangs not apparent at first, biting her to slake their thirst.
The red current of her young, redeemed blood had been poisoned
on the inside.
Thus her walk with Jesus came to a screeching halt for a time,
so that she could place her brokenness at her King's feet.
Then she turned all of her heart to Him, her one and only true friend.
He gathered and held her tight in His arms, taking all the hurt and
mistrust on the inside of Himself.
She knew that she had a safe place to go in order to learn and
grow from what truly were poor choices... poor choices which were
hers alone with no one else to blame.
With Jesus she'd always have a home with the one who loves her
and treats her like He said He would.
So she was able to walk on her feet in this world again with
her life-long friend.
