About This Poem
Shadows in the Fog
In the middle of the dark, cloudy day
The fog follows out into the grey mist
The rolling fog goes around the sharp bend
Showing itself to all within the midst
Seen are the shadows deep inside the fog
Just some dark spaces that disturb the grey
No colors are revealed within the dark
Just overwhelming presence, where it lays
The pitfalls of the dark splotches throughout
Leaves one to break into lots of despair
Daylight fails to reach into cloudy depths
The shadows in the fog bring disrepair
