About This Poem

See Poverty

From the West to the East
Up the North, down the South.
Kobo and Naira rub Nigerians" thought.
Their presence of mind are taking to rest
And thus seize the most eloquent among them.

Kobo and Naira catch Nigerians" thought
These hazard modify their thinking faculty
To only their ways.
For their ways is where they cast rest.

Poverty-sick must seek
A comfortable rest of mind
Through any available means.
Little wonder how it will be a shameful agreement
To a desperate course that occasion its way.
