About This Poem
I WONDER
I WONDER
(Dedicated to all my friends at P.S. with my wishes for a Happy 2013!)
I wonder,
Whether able am I to guide
My life’s ship
Across the turbulent seas
Of trials
Over the reefs of
The unexpected onto
The fertile prairies of
My aspirations,
When her rudder is
Under the control of the
Unyielding fate,
Could it better be
My will to her to
Surrender and
Follow unswervingly the path
She, for me has traced
Since the dawn of time
Instead of opposing each
Command of hers?
Could it be just possible that
By accepting her Sovereignty
I will able be,
Sooner to reach my desired
Destination?
I just wonder,
Would it be preferable?
Would it be wiser, perhaps
Thus to proceed?
