A Bard's Life
A Bard of life is what I be,
spinning words into verse some call poetry.
Not just any words will do,
the stories I tell are usually true.
Drought, Wind, High Seas and Rain,
all cause humanity great pain.
Facts of the matter are what I seek;
I mold them into art, for all eternity.
Sometimes man must kill himself,
adding land, seas and people to his wealth.
That to I must put onto verse,
tales of death and destruction,
makes it a burden, even a curse.
During times of peace and tranquility,
I take a break from the absolute,
and explore faith and family.
Angels and demons, heaven and earth,
love of the heart make for such beautiful verse.
A Bard Of life is what I be,
And what I write is for all to read.
