Great poem. Open eyes and giving hearts spells out innocence to me. Thanks for that comment about the tree in England, I hadn't heard of that before.

Each of us losses innocence in one way or another. Some early in their life, others later. I was seven.

wow, I think your poem about the recent sad events is one of the most poetic I have read. Just wonderfully written, Joann. I too used the word Innocence in mine.
