A Beautiful Secret
She is a beautiful secret that one won't mind keeping;
Let the darkness cover her love's fire.
Love lies awake and is no longer sleeping,
For another her heart desired.
It still is unknown of what one should do
When such a situation does arise.
He is a friend and he did love her too,
And to him her love wasn't disguised.
Yet she was taken and couldn't be pursued;
To her boyfriend it's a hope she wouldn't lie.
Her friend did not speak on feelings untrue;
He understood and wished to give love a try.
To know her better is what her friend wishes;
He doesn't want to bring about regrets.
For he picked trust over hugs and kisses,
Which is why it was an untold secret.
