About This Poem

The Moth

The low brow and the high brow moth
Have completely different tastes for cloth
One prefers a denim fare
The other silken underwear
But both abhor
Toxic camphor
And both careen
From naphthalene

my mother used to put camphor in the closets, then I'd faint. Knocked me out like a little larva.

I see that moths have good taste. I wonder if both get together, would their offspring eat anything? So now if I find my socks have holes in it, can I blame the moths? Lol. Just wonder. Love ya, Toquyen

You attract the high brow moths with your nylon hose / The low brow like my cotton socks with the smelly toes. Thanks for stipping by to read my poem Toquyen.

This has brought a smile to my face on a particularly low day. That is the magic of poetry. Thanks, Jon. All the best!
