About This Poem
Fleeting Verse
Thoughts within my head ignite
Into poems to my delight
And I get quite excited when
I compose without a pen
My thoughts vanish in thin air
If I've no pen or pencil
If I forget to take great care
To wear one such utensil
Inspirations hit me
When I'm lying still
Sitting on a toilet seat
Or by a window sill
I must really make a note
To scatter pens around the floor
And as a permanent reminder
Hang one from each door
