If they're grumpy, then they're in a bad place... I just give them the road and feel sorry for them... They're not getting there any faster than the rest of us... and their drive is more miserable than most... They've gained nothing and lost our respect.

Nice analogy on an everyday issue...Grrr...I can't stand annoying grumpy drivers...You keep killin' them with kindness in your own loving way! (I would have given your Q-ku a first place--I saw that it got second...such a subjective thing...I do respect the sponsor tho..he does have good taste :) gwendolen

Of course I caught that one line. hahaha. I have fallen asleep for a split second. I ran close to the wall on the side of the freeway and destroyed a tire!! Gosh, staying awake is hard in a long drive.

I'll tell you my secret for dealing with angry/annoying/grumpy people. I just picture them as they were as a young child. Sometimes, I have to go really far back but it always works. It doesn't matter what a child does your can't get annoyed with them. You just think, well it's a kid and she/he doesn't know what they're doing. And you know what, I think it's true for everyone. TRY IT :) Warm thoughts, Ralph

Ha ha napping :) When I'm driving it takes all my effort to keep focused and turn off the constant flow of images. Warm thoughts, Ralph

Yes, I really agree with this one. People in traffic can be beastly. I noticed in stanza two , you mention you "wake from my nap." Were you sleeping at the wheel? that made me chuckle!

Rebecca; this is good and I can relate to this. In my time I have seen so much road rage from drivers. Here where I live They just built a Toll Road where you can drive 85 miles per hr. Thanks for sharing. Lucilla
