About This Poem

The hyena

The hyena's laugh is quite impulsive
And its choice of carrion most repulsive
But it's always in a happy mood
When scavenging another's food

    Yes, And they taunt the lions while eating the lions prey. I don't know how they got the reputation of being cowardly. Perhaps their jumpy nature. To taunt lions while feeding on their prey in my opinion is either fearless or foolhardy. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my poem.

    I really like these short clever types of poems! I think it was a hyena that was on the movie LIfe of Pi. A young boy is stuck on a life boat in the ocean sharing the boat with a tiger, monkey and hyena. Eventually the hyena gets killed by the tiger but it was a pretty scary animal when it went after the poor monkey!!

    Snatching "another's food" and don't have to work for it is right. That can put him in a happy mood lol. I like watching the National Geographic Explorer where in one episode they filmed the hyenas stealing food from the lion. It was pretty funny to watch. They were laughing alright taunting that poor lion :) Enjoyed, Jon. Have a great day!
