About This Poem
Hard Rain
Hard Rain
Hard rain drowns my smile just shown
Flowers nearby all wilted that just had grown
Too much of something will suffocate into death
Love also has to be allowed to take a breath
Hard rain pours down onto the green meadows
Streaming the seeds under the soil that was supposed to grow
Rain quenches when it comes at a slow pace
Otherwise it kills everything in its place
Love is like a gentle flower blowing in the breeze
You must not quickly take it from its place of beauty
Just slowly take the time to admire it all on its own
Then sooner or later it shall be a treasure you will own
