The Passing- - -A Senryu String

she mused while fondly touching his chair his scent lingers the salty taste of yesterday tears she tastes again brushing it aside she again asks the question only she can have knowing the answer she didn’t muse the question why did he go first his next day clothes always neatly in the same spot freshly pressed his breakfast waiting steaming on a heated plate even on April first bath water always drawn, along with a prod he loved to tease in the bedroom well, she would reserve comment for his ears only he had to go first he knew, she knew, God knew and she saw to it. a double dose of what she gave to him just to be sure a call to her sis the only living relative to say good bye Dec 2012 Charles Henderson
