Fog

The shrouded morning emerged silently.
The landscape appeared like a whaleman's scrimshaw
Delicately carved on an ivory sky.
I didn't think much about anything in that moment,
I just walked until the sunlight---made it--
All too real again...

    I love your second line. So perfectly descriptive of a light foggy morning. Great write. I see from Jack's comment that this is in a contest. It looks like a winner to me.
