About This Poem
I Am Still, But You Go On
I cannot go on this way much longer
Lift me up and make me stronger
I am still, but you go on
So many things to swallow
Do not just come from a prescription bottle
I am still, but you go on
You portray as if there is nothing wrong
While I lay and sing sad songs
I am still, but you go on
I am lying in all this waste
You study, study, cut and paste
I am still, but you go on
The gym is where you always go
I cannot get up, I am too low
I am still, but you go on
Help me now before it is too late
I am unsure of my own fate
I am still, but you go on
Problems, problems there are so many
My shoulders are weak, cannot handle any
I am still, but you go on
I look to you for some resolve
But nothing seems to dissolve
I am still, but you go on
A future with no plans
You do not see the issues at hand
I am still, but you go on
This stage we are in is serious
Cannot you see it is making me delirious
I am still, but you go on
Contradictions are many
I’m tired of hearing any ~
Holly is still, but you go on.
