Human Spiders

A spider does not get caught in it's own web
but humans beware of your own sticky thread
A spider weaves it's trap with care
A work of beauty but beware
Humans have not the talent
to so cleverly in snare
In time the webs we weave
will bring us remorse and despair
Oh what a tangled web we weave
with consequences we cannot conceive

Thanks Dan. It's a simple poem but was inspired by someone I know. However in the process of observing and writing about others, I find myself doing a bit of self reflecting which is always good to do. Again, I love your work so I'm always happy to receive a comment from you. <3

Yes, it seems we are the bugs caught in the web of our lives. Enjoyed this! :) Tanya

Yes, we are and we don't often realize we are weaving webs that will trap us later. I have been witnessing someone doing this for the past few months. She plots and schemes and I just know she will get caught in her own webs of deception eventually. I'm sure I've been guilty of a little web weaving myself in the past!

Thanks for reading. It popped into my head thanks to a certain sneaky human spider I know. :)
