PLEA TO HUMANITY
Plea to Humanity
The obliterating war of nations:
Eternal hell in my heart I fear
The terrifying burning of heavens:
Roaring fire, over my head I see
The shuddering cracking of the earth:
Menacing thunder, under my feet I hear
The end is near! The end is near!
The laughing children, the blooming flowers,
The singing birds, will be Gone
Victims to laziness, victims to hatred,
Victims to stubbornness will all fall
Beauty and harmony, form and color,
Music and art will disappear
The end is here! The end is here!
Desperately I cry with all my might,
With all my force,
To you my friend, to you my brother,
To you my foe,
Listen to reason, listen to goodness,
Listen to love,
And give precious life, on our planet,
Another chance!
