the sadness in this is palpable. I have known that feeling of Nada, and I can really relate to this one. Love how you related this to the dollop of wasabi at the end! How we use food to soothe us. You are a very talented poet to discover on Soup!!

ooops you have no soup mail :( ok, what i wanted to write to you is this: Kaye, thank you for your comments on my poem "disposible friendships" I appreciate all you said. "some put up walls not to shut others out, but to know who cares to break it down." I think this is true. You're welcome for the hug, I have more if you ever need one ;)
