Haiku Town Dog

Town dog’s name -- Buster He limps on once broken leg But runs like a pup Story never told How Buster’s leg was broken Silence rule invoked Countless times I’ve asked But no one wants to tell me How this came about No one wants to talk About Buster’s tragedy They hide truth from me Someone will talk soon Of this there is certainty Truth exists somewhere The tomcat is mute Ne’er spoke a word about it I feel he is key Friends they used to be And friends they are till this day Friends don’t rat on friends.

LOL ;-) John, it like what happens in Busters town stays in Busters town. I imagine the cat lost its tongue. Now I want to know what happened to his poor little legs? And forever freak me out with the cat & dog buddy image ha ha*LUV~SKAT

Yea, SKAT, People (and Pets) are kinda close-lipped around Hailuville. If you inquire too much you may never be heard from again. That business about "Buster, Miss Kitty and Tom" will really get you shunned if you get too nosy. They remember and keep quiet about "Tige", Granpa's bulldog from years ago..... Jake

Boy, you're doing the haiku hustle!. Maybe now, I can successfully build an omelet:-) I like haiku with titles. Buster and Tom must have more tales to tell, please? Maybe he forgot to stop for traffic at the stop light. Enjoyed all, John

hmmm, it seems there is a big CAT tale in here somewhere. what did that cat do to the dog?? It's funny to me what this is about because the other day someone told me the story of a cat that would attack dogs passing by her house. she was a territorial cat and very mean! I like the connotation of saying friends don't "rat" on friends!
