End Time

The over ripened sweetness of a sunny mid Fall day,
the Macintosh and Concord grape falling to decay.
The prickles of the chestnut the geranium and mum,
are witness to the crows at play, the stones and carrion.
The diminished mid fall buzzings of the heat bugs final days,
remind us of the ends of time amongst the lonely graves.
