About This Poem
All Is One
All Is One
1.
The hidden truth much more valuable than
the apparent,
The inner self much more precious than
the outer,
Don’t look at the world as something distinct,
as something alien,
It is part of you, you are part of it,
Conceive this truth, the great truth!
2.
The bird that flies, the fish that swims,
the horse that gallops,
The tree that grows, the flower that blooms,
the fruit that ripens,
The clouds above, the rivers below,
the postures ahead,.
The golden sun, the silver moon,
the platinum stars,
Uninterruptedly they repeat that in reality
we are one:
Interconnected, interrelated, interchangeable,
Interdependent,
Chain eternal of cause and effect through
space and time,
Unbroken link, divine choreography, miracle
of life.
3.
You and I, he and she, it and them are all one,
Thus, your aspirations, your expectations,
your hopes and fears,
My aspirations, my expectations,
my hopes and fears,
His sufferings, his crimes, his great works,
Her sufferings, her crimes, her great works,
Its destitution, its blooming, its existence,
Our destitution, our blooming, our existence,
This is the beauty and the purpose of the world,
Its unity, its harmony, its wholeness!
