This is good. Sonnets are not easy to hold together in a meaningful way. You put a lot into this and I enjoyed it several times. Clever to use the deer image in one stanza and refer back to it again.

Rebecca, your talent leaves me breathless. You blend syllables into something worthy of eternal praise. Just as I'm about ready to enter some contest, here you come with something immortal and the wind in my sails diminishes to a vacuum. You will always stand as a beacon of greatness to which we all should aspire. Write on, sweet poetess. Set the mark higher and higher lest we shun our duty to the art of poetry....Lead, and we will try and follow... Jake

This is a worthy poem for Harry's contest! Should have scored higher...but then we all have different degrees of of leanings towards beauty. I love your Avatar! Your lovely Hair...I'm so easily infatuated by auburn hair, green eyes...am I close? freckles too...? ooh oooh oooh!
