Opportunity Cost

You walk in through the doorway
With a smile upon your face.
You've never ever been to
Such a big and beautiful place.

But... you have a problem
There only is one pound.
So what on earth to get?
You'd better look around.

It's funny the amount of things
There are in just one shop.
I could buy a real cute ring
Or just a lolly-pop.

Maybe some boot polish
Or some garden seeds
But... Why does no one think
Of what they really need?

I could buy a lot of things
With only just one pound.
But they're things I do not need
So I will not look around.

Instead I'll go out on the street.
Find someone who's needy.
Then i'll buy em' a thing to eat
Instead of being greedy.
