About This Poem

Cynics

Cynics really bug me
They annoy me no end
They're always quite willing
Their point to defend

It doesn't hold water
With this big happy soul
I look on the bright side
My only life's goal

They're always unhappy
What a horrible life
I'd hate to be married
To a lifetime of strife

Why can't they see
There's a big world out there
That don't give a hoot
That don't really care

These cynics they travel
Down paths filled with angst
Oblivious to others
Not this guy, no thanks

Cynics they bug me
They annoy me, my friend
You can count on this dude
To resist till the end

My Dad starts making a point and we lock horns on opposite sides till one walks away... We're two bulls in a china shop... Hey, that might make a great poem... LOL

If there wasn't love between you, it wouldn't matter. The fact that you lock horns strangely signifies love and that you care! A bit of philosophy from an old duffer!

Being a cynic is a total waste of one's life! Thank you, my friend!
