Vicky, this is a very well written poem, a theme that is not so easy to write about. - But you've done it with "brilliance" - Have a nice afternoon. -oxox / / Anne-Lise :)

Wow! Nice write, love your imagery! You pulled me into your story. I would like to do more on subjects more historical, but it seems I'm always into passion and pain and loss! Thanks for your comments also! Keep the pen handy, Andrea

This reminds me of stories my wife told me about Hong Kong in the late 60s. They were fortunate to escape to Canada and live lives free from the oppression. As always I love the way you capture mood and emotion as well as cultural relevance.
