Oh my gawd it’s Henrietta sitting on that platter
Said the 4 year old without it seeming to matter
Every head shot around as though they hadn’t seen
This was darling Henrietta the backyard turkey queen
She had strutted round that yard obeying her every need
Now she was xmas lunch who did the deadly deed
Who killed Henrietta, was the woeful plea
Everyone looked at each other said it wasn’t me
Was the butcher I confessed, it’s what we kept her for
Fattening her up for Xmas, wasn’t that the score.
Well we looked at Henrietta, stuffed with sausagemeat and stuff
Decided we were vegetarians, and the veggies were enough.
