Feet of Fire
Watching the Moon and Jupiter,
Orion, in the east,
the heart of the Bull: Aldebaran --
Flickering eyes, become with me:
the Firmament:
a dome for our House of Love,
where Aeon beams our heart of light,
shimmering, dark shutters
Forever
Opening and closing, so we may see
again: inside . . . outside
wood-pulp frames, folding
Ash in our memory; Maple leaves,
star-heart-weavers,
darting in-between the rays of Venus,
fashioned and feathered:
Winged --
Feet of Fire,
come dance with me,
let us cross these paper bridges:
hurl ourselves forward into lust's full Furnace
burning above the Trees of Life
Glowing like embers,
our roots still spiral together:
tongues, caught in flames; the Ghost of haiku
rambles of romance, teasing the pulse
of a rogue Sufi-poet --
Feet of Fire
Always bring us, closer, together
