About This Poem

Earth's Monorhyme

Looking for whom I used to be
Finding a place that is me
Crawling again on my knee
wiping the fog off Reality

It seems no one is able to see
and hear my screams and my plea
"Pull off that knife but don't flee -
Sit down please, listen, agree..."

I'm dying, I know, I foresee
Life had been nothing but potpourri
You're born and I lost that dear, golden key
that unlocks the secret of Eternity

My continents hurt and my Sea
As if I am stung by a huge Killer bee
MAN was supposed to be my Trustee
I am dying, I know, I foresee...

You're such a gifted poet; always bringing something special to read, dear Iolanda! Just know that you're not alone even though it may seem that way at times..God's still in control and you know how much he loves you!? Love, Annalise

A FANTASTIC write, Iolanda! Wonderful use of personification. The last line is tragic, but powerful. Great work. Love, Kim
