yes,
another day and I am still alive
yes,
another day closer to freedom
yes,
it will come, I believe

said the jailer
yes,
he needs another beating
yes,
he needs to stay in isolation
yes,
I will break him
yes
said the prisoner
yes,
others are here
yes,
I heard tapping on the wall
yes,
I will survive
yes
said the jailer
yes,
he is stubborn
yes,
he is weak
yes
he is near death
yes
said the heart
yes,
I survived
yes,
I made him strong
yes,
he lived many more years
yes
said the memory
yes,
l will be forgotten
yes,
others are here,
yes,
we are coming home.
