an anniversary

A large bouquet of red roses
A possitive sudgestion of what one proposes
A card with a poem that more than spoke
Words with a message not just a note
A day that comes just once a year
To share the day with one so dear
Celebrate that which was shared
Remembering someone special who cared
The time spent making a home
Careful not to leave alone
A time and times are now spent
It's unexplainable where time went
We've had our troubles and times we enjoyed
Of course there were times we were annoyed
But come back together for a perfect fit
Even when I'm gone beside you I sit
