Winter's Kiss

Tears froze as they fell from
Her eyes
And all remained still as She
passed by
Tall trees silenced howls from
restless winds
And the earth halted growth to
speed Her steps

Tears kept falling as She
waltzed on ice
And all at once ceased to posses
life
Fierce flames tamed themselves
in fear of Her
And the mighty sun withdrew to
escape an embrace

Pale skies drift calmly alongside
the moon
As frost and snow begin an icy
bloom
White fog and grey clouds give
birth to black mists
And the earth parts its lips for
Winter's kiss

Those tears keep falling as She
keeps breathing
Life and death embrace and
fade
Nothing moves and the wind
stops howling
All is silent when Winter wakes
