About This Poem

Sleepwalk Lost

Gray zone
Hands reach out, gray zone,
Wishing me, wishing you, far across time
To the moon, to me, to you
In cities
We linger like cattails, like honey spoons
Tasted, inhaled, drunken, wandering down
Down to the lanes, to the lanes, of our longing
We play harp strings, we play saxophone
Eyes dance among strangers,
Come back
To me and you, you and I, dancing away
Into star dust.

Very good portrait into the mind of the sleepwalker--as it should be. I like the projection, and of course we could get away with almost anything. An inviting, built-in success for the poet. :-)

Hi Sheri What a treat to read your wonderful words, written like a light ballet. Just like Debbie - "We linger like cattails, like honey spoons" is delicious. Thanks for commenting on suicide. I'm afraid there is no hope for those who fall prey. There's therapy and love, but once the deed is done, there is no going back. (not biographical) love, Kathy

‡ Somewhat Intriguing Yet Touched It Seems With A Hopeful Happiness, Sweet Beautiful Sheri. Hard To Know Although Having A Companion As It Sounds Is Most Always A Blessing Rather Then Not ? Love The Dancing Away In Star Dust; Enchanting. Thank You For Your Beauty's Kind Visit. 'Happy Holidays.' My Love, Always, Rachel *
