About This Poem

Box of Sadness

~~ I have a box of sadness that I keep upon a shelve An old and tattered pretty box worn from being opened I look inside with falling tears at all my collected sadness Everything lived is in that box all my pain, sorrows and tears I put my memories all inside and I close the lid real tight Until I must remember them and take the box down again I touch it tenderly remembering and I slowly open up the lid Looking inside at all my sadness and I cry at all the hurts within Written by Constance La France October 28, 2012 Verse
