Into The Grey

                                                       INTO THE GREY

Two raindrops melt into the sun…
Like tears flowing left to run…

Erosion trickles where it can’t hide…
Glass after glass I’m still on your mind…

Screaming under water without a sound…
Sliding deeper into fear with no ground…

I came through the glass with scars that made a mark…
Each telling a story from where I embarked…

As unforgotten nightmares still find their way…
Most now do fade into a world of grey…

Ahh, that world of grey where nothing is defined, a limbo of sorts? I have been thinking along the lines of limbo recently....I loved your first two lines here, Michael-- wonderfully written poem, one that I would enjoy reading again... how are you and Rosanna? I hope and pray that all is well with you two! Stay safe, ok?!

Feels like the scars of yesterdays swirling into an all consuming fog. Maybe its our unconscious obliviousness sometimes- or it could be a resolution to change as the grey noise invites everything back in to share the same space

Michael, I found the line very interesting where you say: 'Glass after glass I’m still on your mind…' which I take to mean she is hurting too. A pregnant poem with profound meaning, written with sensitive poignancy. I loved it!

very sad indeed.. Memories can hold you down.. memories can set you free..Memories fade into shades of grey and that is where they should stay...
