They're Hiding
They’re hiding
Somewhere...
In the dark recesses of my mind
In the very walls of my heart
They are there
Hiding…
Those very words
That will catapult me
Over and above the bar
Of Mediocrity
And into the Sublime
That wonderful concoction of words
That will intoxicate the mind
That will be repeated one day
And be committed to memory
And breathed out in awe
But…….
I can’t find them
The echoes of their hushed whispers
Call out to me
Begging me…
To keep searching
Until I find
The words
Those very words….
that will make me
Immortal!
