When Will Heart Heal
The shadows lengthened the evening came
And your busy world was hushed
I heard within that very same hour
And my hearts were sorely crushed
When will my heart heal?
Will it ever be the same?
All this sorrow that I feel,
I wonder who to blame.
Like a thief in the night
You went without a sound
You gave up the fight
For no hope could be found
The tears I cry wont bring you back.
Time heals all wounds they say
But the pain of losing you still lingers on
I miss you more each day
I miss hearing when you call my name
I miss your tender care
I miss it when you smile at me
And when you calm my fears
I never even got a chance
To say my last goodbye
For I thought it almost impossible
That someone like you could die
The memories of you I’ll cherish
And even though we are apart
