ONCE WENDY

Once, I wished Wendy was with me,
Not him, not attracted to them,
Who only saw her slim and trim
Body; Naughty eyes between knees.
If she could see what I could see,
Though my eyes saw the sunrise dim,
In a sky, whose demise looked grim,
She would see we were meant to be.
My heart, right from the very start,
Desired a love like Wendy's;
A love that was state of the art,
Instead of one that was trendy.
Unfortunately, for my heart,
She could only see me friendly.

    I love this! I'm sure everyone can relate to this kind of unrequited love. Very nice choice of rhymes. And thank you for your kind comments on my poems :)
