I don't know if my opinions on spinach were influenced because of Popeye or not... but as a kid I still enjoyed the green stuff! What a nice little gem you have here... a tribute to one of the classics. I always thought it was funny how in the older cartoons the same troubles happen again and again and again, and yet somehow you still are interested to see what happens.

WOW David, I had forgot about Popeye and Olive Oil, until I read this piece. It was one of my favorite cartoons. I use to love to see Popeye eat his spinach and beat up Bluto because he was so mean. So very well written and memorable.

Love this, but you forgot to mention Weepy, David.:) Thanks for the comment, but I'll probably remove that write. It has NOTHING to do with anyone on the Soup, but some will feel offended.:( Oh well, I think I'll try to finish up another. Keep well, love, Mikki

I just love this clerihew. I think it's adorable (which I'm sure that is what you were going for.) As for my poem "Just the Three of Us," do you mean did I change the title? No, it's an original oil painting. LOL xxoo Holly Moore
