Help Wanted - The Answers:
Dear writer who wanted to know
just where your attention should go;
well, since you asked
you got answers fast,
now muzzle your brain and think slow.
Those soupers you queried are great,
they responded with answers of weight.
One said with some merit:
“just grin and bear it,
it’s in the cards, it’s your fate”.
A dilemma indeed, said a few; perhaps you should re-assess.
You have that many poets all on one list? Sounds like a bit of a mess -
like a hundred dalmatians
all having relations,
a bunch of spots to keep track of at best!
There are so many great poets on site.
One said, “ oh, just write, write and write -
this is the gist,
get your name on the list
of some other fine poet tonight.”
Man, you must be easy to please.
Better get tough, give a squeeze.
If one says one’s a poet
one better well show it,
otherwise it’s just a sneeze.
So...
this soup reader says with a sigh,
“I know it’s a big job and I’ll try,
but trying to pare down my list
is like trying to end a hot tryst,
by kissing my way to goodbye!”
