About This Poem

Knowledge

To presume one gains knowledge
From what one is taught
Is an ignorance all by itself
To search out a matter and exercise thought
Is wisdom, understanding, and wealth

So true...but I graduate in 3 mos! I have three grown children, so I think I tend to do it the last two lines of your rhyme. I think this is a much lasting way. The teacher holds the pencil, the world is the book...Thanks for commenting on my Monoku....Holly Moore

You are raising a family and going to school. Very commendable. I tried working and going to school. It didn't work for me. The stress took such a toll that I developed health issues so now I just work. I plan to go back to school after I retire. You only have 3 mos. left. Wow. Good for you.
