The Last Blast of Fire

Before the world
became home to the life we now
know
an inferno of fire surrounded it
  The heat created life
as the darkness
    was finally shattered
  Little do they realize
     how the begining
 came about
No Adam and Ever here
  Just some atoms combining
the storybook is itself half closed
yet fortunately not completely forgotten

Matthew; you have a great write here, educational too. People say that the world is coming to an end, but think it ends for those of us that die. Thanks for sharing. Lucy

Hello, Matt... I am impressed with your poem. A true beginning , on how our life was mastered out of the fiery madness. I'm wondering how this story will end. However, you free-verse has been an honor reading on this wonderful day called my birthday,,,, xox~pd
